MOC: [[System Thinking]] From a conversation with [[Antoine Dudal]] *** At Qonto, the bottom line is to prioritize quality over lead time. It's quite contrarian with some other things I've seen before in many startups, where 'Done is better than perfect' is a saying. From my work in customer support, I value quality but the #1 priority is the reply time. Answering a customer quickly also improves the quality of their experience. A few thoughts: - I heard somewhere (probably from [[Chris Williamson]]'s podcast) that shipping fast is critical because it accelerates your learning speed through feedback loops. It resonated a lot with me personally. - From [[John Doerr]] OKR's guidelines, I think a good compromise is to have a speed (or quantitative) goal in mind, coupled with some minimum standard of quality you won't derogate to. **Question:** Is there an universal rule here, or does it depend 100% of the topic at hand? ![[Quality vs quantity for reading books]]
