MOC: [[System Thinking]]
From a conversation with [[Antoine Dudal]]
***
At Qonto, they use a **Pull** system instead of a **Push** system.
The idea is simple. Usually, someone such as your boss or a colleague will **Push** a task in your todo list and you'll go work on it. In a **Pull** system, your coworkers act as available resources and get to pull items from your project list.
I think it's great for collaboration, distributed ownership and opportunistic productivity.
Downsides could be that idling people get to work less without any drawback. It also means you have to do a little bit of maintenance with your own todo list and to be rather good at prioritizing.
Finally with this system, one has to be sharp to assess their own bandwidth.
Last piece of thought: medium and low priority items are likely to be forgotten and never revisted again.
Questions:
- How can we apply this idea to other systems?
- How is it similar to the way I organize my days around emotion states?
