MOC: [[Don't Die]] From [[The Five Science-Backed Habits For Longer Living]] *** Negative habits are driven by two factors: 1. Some parts of your personality that are not aligned with your long-term goals (health, longevity, performance and so on). 2. Negative patterns that are allowed by a poorly designed environment. To counter those, you should: 1. Identify self-personas that are taking decisions misaligned with your goals (eg: post-workout you, evening you and so on) and fire them. 2. Formulate a set of algorithmic rules to minimize all decisions on your end. You can then design your environement to minimize decision-making even further. Use this foundation to build better habits for yourself. I like these ideas from [[Bryan Johnson]] because once you've done the optimizing work, the tradeoff becomes obvious. As there is less friction and decision-making, you free up some mental load that you can inject into productive endeavours.
