MOC: [[Learning How To Learn]]
On how to find insight see Ahrens 2017, p. 24.
***
You should be very picky when selecting materials to learn from, especially books and long-form content. If your main goal is to gain knowledge, the main criteria to look for in a new material is its expected chances to provide you with insight.
Should we purely rely on intuition to find out the most promising insight or can we build a system to detect insight potential?
- [[How to Take Smart Notes]] indicates that following our curiosity is a great way to find insight.
- Cf. another key argument from the same book: [[Expertise and intuition]] tends to suggest that as we'll get experienced in finding insight, we can rely more and more on our guts and intuition.
