MOC: [[Learning How To Learn]]
On history as a learning medium see Adler 1972, p. 235.

It is foolish not to learn from history, as it is a logbook of our specie's trial and error.
Over the centuries, we've learned a lot about what doesn't work and about what does. The key to thrive as a specie is to learn from our ancestor's errors.
Men from the past can literally convey knowledge to men of today, through history.
This also puts in perspective how important it is for us to record our experiments, mistakes and success.
