The writing act could be used as a brain dump to help one regulate their emotions if need be. In this case, fiction writing would feel deeply personal, honest and authentic. These small bits of emotion would then be stored as notes to be reused later on. I can see two uses for that: 1. Pieces of well-written passage matching the emotional state of a character in a fiction text, 2. For the writer to read an emotional piece of text to reach the desired emotional state before writing some piece of content. Cf.
